JUCO and Texas Tech star joins the Oilers.

Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced on Monday the addition of Big 12 running back Tre King, out of Texas Tech. 
 
King (25) became one of Texas Tech’s top rushing producers when joining the Red Raiders his junior season. The new weapon played in all 13 games his junior year and finished second on the team with 623 yards on the ground and five touchdowns. With 131 carries, the 6’0, 200 lbs running back averaged 4.8 yards per carry in his inaugural Big 12 season, all while collecting 104 yards through the air for 727 all-purpose yards on the campaign. King recorded his first game with 100 yards rushing or more against the eventual Big 12 Champion Oklahoma Sooners. The Wichita, Kansas native played in just six games his senior year at Texas Tech due to a nagging injury, still averaging 4.0 yards per carry to finish his Red Raider career with a 4.6 yards per attempt on the ground average. 
 
“Tre did many great things at Texas Tech,” said head coach Marvin Jones. “He can run, catch, and even play as a slot wide receiver. He is a very versatile athlete with a great attitude.”
 
Before heading to the Big 12 Conference, the former Red Raider started his career as a Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragon, where he played in 13 games over two seasons, compiling 411 yards on 100 carries from the backfield, finishing with five touchdowns. 
 
With this announcement, the Oilers announced roster now includes James Summers(QB)Deonte Cruse(OL/DL), Maliek Stephens(RB), Dominic Logan(OL/DL), Christopher Ivy(OL)Eric Sadler(DL), Jeremiah Harris(WR), William Auwae(OL), Tre Harvey(LB), Jamon Langford(WR), Kazon Edwards(LB), and Tre King(RB).
 
The Oilers will begin their inaugural season in 2023.
