Fans to vote on the final five name suggestions to be revealed on Sep. 10.

Tulsa, Okla. — The Tulsa Indoor Football Team, proud member of the IFL, announced Tuesday the final five name suggestions that fans can vote on.
After thousands of suggestions online, the name of Tulsa’s new indoor football team will be one of the following five finalists:
Bison
Crude
Oilers
Tornado
Wildcatters
In a press conference held on July 26, Tulsa Oilers owner Andy Scurto and IFL commissioner Todd Tryon confirmed the IFL’s newest franchise is coming to Tulsa. Scurto is now the owner of the Tulsa Oilers and the Tulsa Indoor Football Team.
“We were very pleased with the response from our fans to help us name the team.” said Oilers owner Andy Scurto, “It is obvious we have a lot of excitement for Indoor Football in Tulsa and we are going to have tremendous fan support. There were many great suggestions and it was difficult to narrow it down to only a few. It will be exciting to see the fan’s final choice.”
Fans can vote for their final name suggestion by visiting tulsaindoorfootball.com, clicking on the “Name the Team Contest” tab, and submitting their selection.
The IFL’s newest franchise will have its identity released publicly at the annual Tulsa Oilers Open House event at the BOK Center on Saturday, September 10, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
