IFL experienced linebacker joins his hometown team.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced Monday the signing of Green Country native linebacker Tre Harvey.

Harvey (26) embarks on his Oilers journey, having previously played for three IFL teams, the Quad City Steamwheelers in 2020 and the Bismark Bucks and the Frisco Fighters in 2021.

The former college tight end turned linebacker played one game in 2020 with Quad City before the season was canceled due to the pandemic. After starting the 2021 season with Bismark, the 6’1, 235 lbs. defensive threat left North Dakota, signed with Frisco, and played three games, picking up 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and 10 total tackles.

“Having the opportunity to not only play football again but to play for my city is such a blessing,” said Harvey. “I’m beyond excited to start with the Oilers organization and to work on bringing a championship to Tulsa.”

Before his professional career, the former receiver played tight end for East Central University. The former Tiger had 64 receptions for 969 yards and seven touchdowns in four seasons, averaging more than ten yards per catch each year.
